Lee Small

Managing Director, National Commercial Services

Lee Small serves as MBL Title’s Managing Director, National Commercial Services. In this role, he is responsible for developing and cultivating national clients and business opportunities in the commercial title field, as well as maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients and referral sources. Lee provides detailed answers and solutions to complex commercial title and closing questions; assists with client underwriting on title, escrow and closing costs; and facilitates presentations with clients and organizations to help them better understand the national title landscape.

Lee joined the MBL Title team after successfully serving as director of Business Development for a commercially focused title agency where he was responsible for closing more than $400 million in transactions. Prior to that, he served in a leadership position at Wildcat Oil Tools in Midland, where he grew the company from two locations to five, and as a TV sports anchor in Midland and Waco for five years.

Lee earned his undergraduate degree in sports media from Ithaca college and his MBA from Pepperdine University, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies. He was the recipient of an Elkins Award Scholarship for his academic accomplishments and completed a study abroad at Beijing Sport University during the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Lee is heavily involved with The Real Estate Council (TREC) where he is the Young Guns Public Policy Chair as well as Urban Land Institute and NAIOP. Outside of work he gives back through Big Brothers Big Sisters, Friends of Teach for America and MakeAWish. Lee was also a member of the TLTA Leadership Academy in 2018.
